The cromoglicic acid active ingredient provides gentle and long lasting relief for your nose. It intervenes early in the allergy mechanism and inhibits the production of histamine, the allergenic messenger. With this treatment, allergy symptoms such as an allergic runny nose often do not occur at all. Pollicrom® nasal spray is preservative and phosphate-free.

Important notice:

  • Where can I buy the Polli products? Are they available over the counter?

    All Polli products are available over the counter, either at your local pharmacy or online through the mail-order pharmacy.

  • Are there any contraindications or interactions with other drugs?

    Polli products have no known interactions with other drugs.

    If taking medications in the recent past, present or near future, please consult your doctor or pharmacist, even if the medication is not a prescription drug.

  • I wear contact lenses. Can I use Pollival®/Pollicrom® eye drops?

    If you wear contact lenses, please consult your doctor or pharmacist before using Pollival® eye drops / Pollicrom® eye drops. If in exceptional cases the optician allows the wearing of contact lenses with allergic conjunctivitis; take the contact lenses out before administering the drops and put them back in again after 15 minutes.

  • Is there an age limit for use of Polli products?

    Pollival® eye drops can be used by adults and children from 4 years of age to treat seasonally occurring allergic conjunctivitis (for example hay fever) and by adults and children aged 12 years and above to treat non-seasonal all-year-round allergic conjunctivitis (for example dust mite allergies).

    Pollival® nasal spray can be used by adults and children aged 6 years and above.

    For Pollicrom® eye drops and Pollicrom® nasal spray no age limit applies.

  • What should I watch out for when using Polli products?

    Always use all Polli products as described in the relevant package leaflet, or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. In case of doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
